[Looks up] Frederic. Of the Red Rose Society. [Goes back to flipping before he finds the pages he's looking for-] Ah ha! After I told Stefan about it I had to write down all I remembered of the saga since I didn't wanna forget any of it. [Like this little asshole would forget] Tales of Frederic of the Red Rose is a poetry saga that usually gets told by bards and stuff back home, and it's about this guy who's a vampire and he's a member of this society that goes around righting wrongs, and he has a whole bunch of love interests and he's time traveled, and it's so good Eithan, so good.
[ With every next word Sorey says, Eithan looks all the more curious - and he smiles, amused. ]
Okay, you can't just leave it at that. That sounds too good. [ He leans over to glance at the pages. ] So did you like, remember the actual poem and write it down that way? Or just write down the story?
Poems, [Sorey emphasizes with a grin, holding up the book to take a significant chunk of the pages in his hand, showing Eithan how thick the story is.] This is all I could remember, and I never heard the last act too so it's not even all of it. I didn't bother with the variations though, just the standard story.
Well, hold on - what if you came up with your own end? I mean, you know the whole rest of the story, so it's not like you wouldn't know what you're doin', right?
........but you know, if I did I have a couple ideas. Not a lot, mind you, I haven't thought that much about what could've happened, maybe only a couple weeks or maybe a month or maybe four months or so.
[FIDGETS.] ...I'm not usually good at this sort of thing. [clut ches book to self] Mikleo always makes fun of my poetry. He says I'm a much more talented academic.
Well first off, I doubt you're actually not good at it, but even if that was true, so what if you're not? If you'll have fun doin' it, it's worth it! And hey, you could treat it as practice, yeah?
[ Practice... hmm, that gives him another idea. ]
Hey... you said this was told by bards, right? ... 's there music?

[ He was expecting some sort of lecture?? This is different. But ok, sure, you've got his attention, let's see where this goes. ]
